The typhoon’s gone. Shizuoka experienced some strong winds and heavy rain, but nothing like the rain in the Kyoto area, where many businesses and homes were flooded. In Shizuoka City, in my neighborhood at least, the rice fields, many ready for harvest, were left undamaged.
