I saw what I saw but wasn’t much of a seer–
My life was a question with no answer near.

July 23rd, and an oddly cool, overcast day. The mist blocked the vistas, but the mist could not block the close-up views of all are stout friends.

On Ryuso, you will always meet, be with, many stout friends. This never fails.

And a bit of rain brings out some of the more shy fellows.

And it’s the season for the okatorano-o to bloom. Yes, I’ll attempt a translation: “the tiger tail on the hill.”

The butterflies are crazy about the tiger tails. They settle on a flower–and don’t move. They really, really beg for you to attempt a photograph.

Sometimes, they’ll even try to give you a good background.

It’s also amazing that in the mist and light rain, someone came out and grilled us a pancake.
